Obituary: Daniel S. Kokoruda, 56, of Stratford

Daniel S. Kokoruda, 56, of Stratford, passed away on May 5 2019 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Dan was born in Bridgeport on November 13, 1962 to the late Stephen J. Kokoruda and Gladys (Cowell) Kokoruda and has been a lifelong area resident.

He was a former employee of the Town of Fairfield Parks Department. Dan retired from the Town of Fairfield with a medical disability and subsequently became a permanent resident at Maefair Health Care Center in Trumbull.

Survivors include his loving brother, Stephen G. Kokoruda and his wife Patricia A. Metzger of Stratford, his devoted step-mother, Florence Moran-Kokoruda of Stratford, step-brothers, Sean Moran and his wife Nancy of Stratford, Kevin Moran and his wife Karen of Hilton Head Island, S.C. and step-sister, Alana Moran of Easton along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may visit with Dan’s family at the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place in Stratford, Thursday, May 23 from 5-7 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Church, Main St., Stratford Friday May 24th. at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
