Obituary: Donald G. Hart, 79; Retired Stratford Firefighter
Donald was a retired firefighter with the Stratford Fire Department and served in the Connecticut National Guard.

Donald G. Hart, 79, of Shelton, beloved fiancée of Marcia Stendahl of Stratford, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Bridgeport Hospital.
Born July 2, 1937 in Bridgeport, son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Oberhauser) Hart, Donald was a retired Firefighter with the Stratford Fire Department and served in the Connecticut National Guard. He was also a member of the Town of Stratford Retirees.

In addition to Marcia, he is survived by a brother and his wife, Robert and Peggy Hart; two nieces, Nancy Clough and Phyllis Elliott; one nephew, Robert J. Hart, Jr., and his devoted dog Roxie Hart.
Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford.
