Obituary: Elizabeth 'Liz' (Coelho) Pond, 59, of Stratford

Elizabeth "Liz" (Coelho) Pond, 59, of Stratford, beloved wife of Kenneth Pond, died on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Liz was born in Bridgeport to Olinda (Gonsalves) Coelho and the late Domingos Coelho. She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1974. Liz was employed at Peoples United Bank as a supervisor in customer service for 24 years.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two loving daughters, Kristine Pond and her husband, Daniel La Mazza of Geneva, Switzerland and Jennifer Pond of Stratford; her cherished granddaughter, Madeleine La Mazza; one brother, Daniel Coelho of Bridgeport; nephew, David Coelho; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David Pond and Ellen Miller-Pond of Milford.

Friends may call on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10 am at the funeral home and at 11 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 2nd Hill Lane, Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT.
