Obituary: Grace B. Cormack, 99, of Stratford

Grace B. Cormack, 99, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home. She was the widow of Wesley R. Cormack.

Born in Scranton, PA on June 24, 1917 she was a daughter of the late August Brooks and Bertha Lena Lucke Brooks. Mrs. Cormack is survived by her son, Randolph (Randy) Cormack and his wife Jan of Seymour and her granddaughters Kelly Cormack and Julie Cormack as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her caregiver Eunice Bobb.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Cormack and her siblings; Edward, Veronica, August, Gertrude and Robert.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Dennis & D’Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford with Rev. Linda Kraft officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Sterling House, 2283 Main Street, Stratford, 06615 or to the charity of one’s choice.
