Joseph McKinley Terrell, 33, of Stratford, passed away suddenly Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020. Joe was born July 15, 1986 in Bridgeport, son of Arthur Terrell and the late Debra (Brelsford) Terrell.

Joe was a unique, colorful, and free-spirited soul with a presence that would light up any room. A true rock star who marched (and danced) to the beat of his own drum. Joe lived his life to the absolute fullest appreciating all the beauty this world has to offer seizing every moment to stop and smell the roses!

Survivors in addition to his father include his longtime partner, Daniel Barns, his paternal grandmother, Sandra Terrell, his chosen, siblings, Sam Black and Jennifer Zarucki and many other good friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister Kara Krewson.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Sunday, March 8, at 4 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.

Interment will be private.

Friends may visit with his family before service time from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
