Joseph Robert Rainone III, 56 of Shelton, previously of Stratford, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. Joseph was born April 27, 1962 in Bridgeport, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Meder) Rainone Jr. and had been a lifetime area resident.
He was a United States Navy veteran and had worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for over 20 years. In the 90's Joe proudly served the town of Stratford as a councilman. He was an avid sports fan especially rooting for his New York Mets and Pittsburg Steelers and enjoyed spending his time in the outdoors especially near the water.

We wish to thank those who helped and supported Joe throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his son, Joseph R. Rainone IV; his brother John Rainone and his partner, Kim; two nieces, Mackenzie and Kacey; his longtime partner, Flutra Lena; his step-grandchild, Avani Jacob and several cousins.

Funeral services and burial with military honors in Middletown Veterans cemetery will be announced.
