Obituary: Kathleen Cronin Lorenzo, 77, of Stratford

Kathleen worked as a marketing analyst at Vitramond Inc. She loved St. Mary's by the Sea, Old Lyme and the bluffs of Block Island.

STRATFORD, CT - (From Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home) Kathleen Cronin Lorenzo, age 77, of Stratford, beloved wife of Thomas J. Lorenzo for 56 years, passed peacefully on Tuesday December 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen was born in Bridgeport on October 3, 1943 to the late Terrence and Mary Elizabeth Clancy Cronin.

She was beautiful and kind. She placed her family and friends before herself. She danced and sang, especially when her husband was making the music.

She loved the water and held a special place in her heart for St. Mary’s by the Sea, Old Lyme and the bluffs of Block Island.

Kathleen was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport and had a successful career as a marketing analyst at Vitramond Inc. where she traveled extensively for her work throughout the Midwest.

In addition to her husband, Thomas, she is survived by her children; Mary Elizabeth Allbert of Stratford and Thomas Cronin Lorenzo (Jennifer) of Fairfield, four grandchildren; Kathleen Marie Allbert, James Thomas Allbert, Joe Cronin Lorenzo and Jack Michael Lorenzo, sister, Maureen Truhn of Stratford, sister-in-law, Elinor Hurkmans of Georgia and nieces and nephew; Lisa Bishop, Laurene Truhn, Tricia Walker, Carrie Toth and Michael Toth, and first cousin; Tom Clancy of Colorado.

Family and friends are invited to a walk-through visitation at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford on Monday, December 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 29th in Saint James Church, Stratford at 10:30 a.m.

Please follow current pandemic concerns by wearing a mask and keeping social distance.

When attending the visitation, it is asked that you kindly enter the funeral home and leave through the rear doors after greeting the family to accommodate all visitors.
