Obituary: Mary Kochiss, 92, Of Orange

Mary Kochiss, age 92, of Orange, formerly of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Charles Kochiss, passed away on July 3, 2019 in her home. Mary was born in Bridgeport on November 1, 1926 to the late John and Anna (Cheroke) Smuligo and has been a lifelong area resident. Mary was an Administrative Assistant to the city Comptroller having worked for the City of Bridgeport for over 25 years. The Kochiss family would like to thank Mary’s caregivers, Zofia Dabrowska, Justyna, Irene, and Teresa for their kind and loving care. Survivors include her devoted sons, Kyle Kochiss and his wife Karen of Stratford, and Paul Kochiss and his wife Susan of Shelton, a sister, Pauline Henson of California, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, Mary was pre-deceased by her sister, Ann Stocker. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 9th 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit with Mary’s family on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make a donation in memory of Mary to the Alzheimer’s Association 200 Executive Blvd Southington, CT 06489
