Obituary: Michael F. Frankenburg, 60, of Stratford
Mike, an excellent photographer, always enjoyed fine food and a glass of red wine. He was an avid racing fan, loved to bike and work out.

Michael F. Frankenburg, 60, of Stratford, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Mike was born March 12, 1957 in Norwalk, Connecticut, son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Geraghty) Frankenburg. Mike was raised in the Westport/Fairfield area and had resided in Stratford for over 30 years.
Mike always enjoyed fine food and a good glass of red wine. He was an avid racing fan, whether, drag, funny car or Indy. He loved to bike and work out. He was an excellent photographer and worked in this field for many years in New York City. He also enjoyed working with his hands and was an accomplished carpenter and handyman.

Survivors include his longtime, dear friend, Suzanne Sumien; his three siblings, Tauni Miller of Stratford, Terry Frankenburg and his partner, Doreen DesPierre of Southington and Paul (PJ) Frankenburg and his wife Lori of Stratford; his brother–in-law, Harvey Miller; three nieces, Tammie Pasuth and her husband Robert, Tara Meady and her husband Jeremy and Hollie Manzolillo and her husband Kevin; one nephew, Reilly Harjes; five great-nieces, Emma, Hannah, Olivia, Ella and Kylie; and two great-nephews, Finn and Brody.
Friends may visit with his family Monday, June 19, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford.

Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. by meeting directly at St Peter’s Church, 175 Old Tannery Road, Monroe, CT. Interment will be private.
