Obituary: Nancy E. Gage, 79; Formerly Of Lordship

She worked for many years as a counselor for the Norwalk Hospital Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Program.

STRATFORD, CT — Nancy Elizabeth “Nana” Gage (née Taylor) died in Melbourne, Florida on Feb. 16, 2020 at the age of 79.

Nancy lived for many years in Lordship, having just moved to Vero Beach, Florida, less than one year ago. Nancy is survived by her husband Dave Gage of Vero Beach, FL; her children: Jeffrey Sheehan of Norwalk, Gregory Sheehan of Trumbull, and Donna Sheehan of New Haven; her grandchildren: Christina Goyette of Vero Beach, FL, Amanda Goyette Kulikowski of Columbia, MD, Jay Goyette of New Haven, Caroline Stapleton of Denver, CO, Julia Sheehan of Monroe, and Isabella Sheehan of Monroe; and her great-grandchildren: Mikaella Torres, Savannah Bradley, Daniel Bradley and Tighin Bradley of Vero Beach, FL, and Damien Kulikowski of Columbia, MD.

Nancy was born on April 14, 1940 in Lynn, MA to Chesley R. Taylor and Marion E. Gourley. She graduated from the Wainwright Institute with a degree in Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling and worked for many years as a counselor for the Norwalk Hospital Alcoholism and Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Program (NHARP). She later graduated from Divinity School, after which she served as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church including at Grace Episcopal Church in Trumbull. Nana was a fantastic grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed immensely by all who knew her.
