Obituary: Robert A. Yatsinko, 63; Retired Stratford Firefighter

Robert A. Yatsinko, 63, of Stratford, beloved husband of Dawn Abbotts Yatsinko, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Bob was born in Bridgeport to Ruth Hayduk Yatsinko of Stratford and the late John B. Yatsinko and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Stratford High School.

Bob retired in 2001 from the Stratford Fire Department, and was the owner of Yatsinko Tree and Shrub Removal. He was a member and treasurer of the Stratford Volunteer Fire Department. Bob enjoyed taking cruises to Bermuda, and spending time at Vazzy’s in Bridgeport with a good 7&7, but most of all, he was happiest when cutting trees.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife and mother, include his devoted sons, Andrew Yatsinko and his wife Tammy of Shelton, and John Yatsinko of Stratford, his cherished granddaughter, Jaylah, brothers, Richard Yatsinko and his wife Laura, and Raymond Yatsinko and his partner Wendy Jennings, a sister, Patricia Buzzanca and her husband David, all of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Bob’s memory to the Yatsinko family.
