• $1.5M In State Funds Approved For Museum Relocation In Stratford (patch.com) — Stratford leaders have secured an additional $1.5 million in state Community Investment Fund support to move the Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum into the historic Sterling Homestead on Main Street. The expanded Stratford location will allow the state's only African American history museum to complete major renovations, improve accessibility, and welcome more visitors to learn about local and statewide Black history.
   

• Search Warrant Execution at Infinity Smoke Shop (doingitlocal.com) — Stratford police recently raided Infinity Smoke Shop on West Broad Street, seizing over 14 pounds of cannabis products and charging the shop's operator with multiple narcotics offenses. The suspect was released on a $25,000 bond and is due in court September 28, so residents may notice ongoing legal and regulatory activity around this business.
   

• Bassick students build another plane about to take flight (wshu.org) — At Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, a student-built two-seat plane from Bridgeport's Bassick High School is nearly ready for FAA certification and test flights. The STEM program partners with Three Wing Aviation mentors at the Stratford airport, giving teens hands-on engineering experience and bringing more educational activity and aviation buzz to the local airfield.
