1. Stratford Restaurant Week 2026: What To Know (patch.com) — Stratford diners can look forward to Restaurant Week running September 20–26, with nearly two dozen local spots offering special deals. Residents are encouraged to save their receipts and enter the Golden Fork Award drawing for a bundle of Stratford restaurant gift cards, making it a good chance to support hometown eateries with friends and family.
   

2. Have A Traffic Complaint In Stratford? Let Police Know (patch.com) — Stratford police are rolling out a new online form so residents can easily report non-emergency traffic concerns around town. Using Urban SDK's AI-assisted tools and anonymous vehicle data, the department aims to better track recurring problem spots, analyze speeds and delays, and make more informed decisions to improve road safety in Stratford.
   

3. Stratford Residents Urged To Report Damage From Flooding (patch.com) — Stratford residents who suffered damage in Sunday's flooding are being urged to file a CrisisTrack damage report to help officials document the impact. The information could support potential FEMA or SBA assistance, though submitting a report does not guarantee aid, and residents have until Oct. 9 to complete the survey.
   

4. District of Connecticut Joins DOJ Fraud Division, SBA, and SBA OIG in Surge Takedown Exceeding $245 Million in COVID-era Loan Fraud Offenses (justice.gov) — A Stratford resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program of more than $867,000, as part of a nationwide crackdown on COVID-era loan fraud. Prosecutors say he inflated income and employee numbers for his businesses and submitted falsified tax documents. He's free on bond and scheduled for sentencing in early January 2027.
