Person Stabbed Inside Moving Vehicle On I-95 In Stratford: Police

State Police are investigating the stabbing.

STRATFORD, CT — Police are investigating after a person was stabbed inside a moving vehicle while on I-95 in Stratford on Saturday night, according to Connecticut State Police. State Troopers responded to a gas station on Honeyspot Road in Stratford at about 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 18 on the report of a stabbing that occurred on I-95.

The victim was stabbed with an “unknown object” during an argument inside a rental vehicle on I-95 North in Stratford, according to police. There were four people, including the victim, inside the vehicle at the time. To sign up for Stratford breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Police said the vehicle pulled over on I-95 northbound where the victim exited the vehicle and walked to a gas station on Honeyspot Road in Stratford. The victim was treated at Bridgeport Hospital and released with minor injuries, according to police.

Western District Major Crime Detectives responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation. Police said there is no threat to the public as detectives continue to investigate.
