Popeyes Project in Stratford Gets New Life
A Superior Court judge ruled in favor of the developer in its bid to build a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — The proposed Popeyes project in the parking lot of The Dock shopping plaza appears to have found new life, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Connecticut Post reports that a Bridgeport Superior Court judge declared the Stratford Zoning Commission’s 2015 rejection of the request to build the restaurant as invalid and the project will likely proceed soon.
The commission rejected the application in a 3-1 vote last July and Commission Chairman David Fuller, who voted in favor of the restaurant, previously told the Connecticut Post the application was turned down mostly due to concerns about the flow of traffic generated by a drive-through window.

Town Hall officials told the Post that they didn’t think the Zoning Board would try to appeal the judge’s decision.
