On this day in 1967 I was serving with Marine Air Base Squadron 12 in Chu Lai,Vietnam, 50 miles south of DaNang. By absentee ballot I voted in my hometown of Stratford, CT. Still my hometown today, I voted yesterday in person at Bunnell High School. I have no idea what the turnout was in 1967, but I would bet it was much higher than yesterday. It is sad and disheartening to read that a large majority of registered voters don't care about "making freedom
count" and display apathy that is difficult to comprehend. If you complain about government and politicians, but don't vote, please comment here with your reasons.
