Public Invited to Free Memory Loss Lecture at The Watermark at 3030 Park

On Friday, April 17, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host “Living with Memory Loss,” a free health lecture presented by Tania Paparazzo, Southwest Regional Director of the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The program begins at 2:00 p.m. at the senior living community located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.

Paparazzo will focus her discussion on best practices for people living with or caring for someone with memory loss. Her lecture will also contain information on various forms of memory loss, including Mild Cognitive Impairment, Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular Dementia and Frontal-Temporal Dementia. She will also describe different types of treatment available for people living with memory loss and how caregivers can best provide support to their loved ones.

“The days, weeks and months after receiving a dementia diagnosis can be a very difficult and scary time for people and their families,” said Tracy-Ann Samuel, Community Life Director at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “We are extremely fortunate to have a wonderful resource like Tania who is willing to share her knowledge and expertise with our residents and guests.”

Paparazzo was appointed Southwest Regional Director of the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association in March of 2014, after working for years as a care manager for those diagnosed with dementia and their families. She is passionate about providing knowledge, support and planning for those affected by memory loss, and works to prove there is hope and life after being diagnosed.
