Relay For Life's 2nd Annual Luminaria Bash Tuesday April 4 th 6-8 pm Wooster Middle School

American Cancer Society's Relay For Life Stratford to Host 2nd Annual Luminaria Bash! Come decorate a bag to be used at our event.

Relay For Life asks you to join us for our 2nd Annual Luminaria Bash tomorrow, April 4th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the David Wooster Middle School Cafeteria in Stratford.

A Luminaria is a white bag decorated “in honor of” or “in memory of” someone with cancer. We have had some that also thanked caregivers and family from the survivor. They are placed around our track at our event June 17, 2017. Just before 9:00 pm a glow stick is placed in each bag starting the Luminaria Ceremony. The Luminaria ceremony is one of the key moments of a Relay for Life. It has a triple symbolic purpose: to commemorate the people who have passed as a result of cancer, give hope and support those suffering from cancer and celebrate people who have overcome the disease.

Bags can be purchased for $5 and no need to bring supplies to decorate them we have plenty of stickers, feathers, sequins and glitter! You can feature a picture of your loved one on your bag - we recommend using a copy and not an original picture. If you want your bag and do not pick it up at the event after the Luminaria Ceremony, we cannot guarantee that it will be returned.
