Sterling House Ladies Luncheon April 5 at Mill River Country Club
100 Ladies to raise $10,000 for Sterling House

Sterling House will host a "ladies Who Inspire" luncheon on April 5 at the Mill River Country Club. The luncheon will be sponsored by Milford Bank, with the goal to bring together 100 local women to raise $10,000 for Sterling House. The keynote speaker for the event in New York City native Heather Kristin, Like so many families around the country today, heather Kristin never dreamed she would be homeless. But there she was 25 years ago- homeschooled and homeless. Heather and her twin sister played violin on the city streets for cash, which heather credits for getting her through her darkest days. Heather and her small family relied on churches, shelters, and food panties for survival. Unlike many, heather was lucky; she survived and today is a mentor for at-risk teens at a non-profit organization. Heather currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two daughters. Sterling House will honor four inspiring local women: Evelyn Clough, Perry House board member, member of the Town beautification committee, and creator of the "Daffodil Project", Margarita David of the Sterling House Art Program, who puts on an art exhibit every year honoring our troops, Erin McLaughlin, Town of Stratford fundraiser and Sterling House soccer coach, and Rosemary Martin Hayduk of Stratford Sister Cities. The "Ladies Who Inspire" luncheon will be held on April 5 from 11:30AM-1:30PM at the Mill River Country Club. For tickets, or to volunteer to host a table, please contact Diane Sheridan no later than April 1 at 203-378-2606 x105 or e-mail dsheridan@sterlinghousecc.org.
