Stratford High School Staffer Has Coronavirus

The employee was exposed to the virus outside of school, and no one at the school was exposed through the staffer, the superintendent said.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford High School staff member has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Superintendent Janet Robinson in an email confirmed the case, but said the employee was exposed to the virus outside of school, and that no one at the school was exposed through the staffer. Robinson did not indicate that any additional closures or quarantines would be needed.

The Stratford High School employee is the second Stratford school district staff member to test positive for the virus, after a Second Hill Lane School staffer was diagnosed with the virus the first week students were in class.

Another Second Hill Lane employee was thought to have the coronavirus, and the school building was briefly closed last week as a precaution, but the employee’s test results were negative, Robinson said.
