Stratford Library Plans Major Benefit
Thirteenth Annual Fundraiser, "Let the Good Times Roll", Set for April 16.

The Stratford Library Board of Trustees will present its annual major fund-raiser for the library on Saturday, April 16 beginning at 6:30 pm. The thirteenth annual event, entitled “Let the Good Times Roll”, will feature New York City’s East Coast band. It is a gala evening of hot music, dancing, appetizers, dinner, fine beverages and delectable desserts. A silent auction will also be included in the festivities. This year’s event will be held at the Oronoque Country Club in Stratford and all proceeds will benefit the library’s collections.
East Coast has a stellar reputation for providing top tier entertainment in the New York City, Long Island and Tri-State Area. The nine-piece band features male and female lead vocalists, a dynamic horn section, and rave reviews. During the ‘80s and ‘90s East Coast developed its reputation as a high energy Party Band, building a loyal following. It was during this era that the band had the opportunity to share the stage with notables like John Belushi, Wilson Pickett, Tower of Power and a host of others. With a loyal client list that includes Sony, Citicorp, ESPN, Deutsche Bank, PriceWaterhouseCoopers plus hundreds of other organizations and individuals, East Coast offers a varied and popular musical evening of dance hits from the 1960s to the present.
Major sponsors for the library benefit are: People's United Bank, Stratford Development Company, Aquarion Water Company, Berchem, Moses and Devlin, Connecticut Distributors Inc., Bridgeport Fittings, The Milford Bank, Joel F. Pleban CPA, LLC, Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hubbell Water Heaters and Pistey Funeral Home.
