Stratford Man Charged With DUI After Accident: Milford Police

Police say the accused crashed his car into a utility pole.

MILFORD, CT — Police say a Stratford man was driving while under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his car in Milford.

On June 12, officers took custody of James Trapletti, 53, of Huntington Road in Stratford, on an arrest warrant, police said. Trapletti is accused of driving his motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when he crashed his car into a utility pole on Dec. 16, 2016 in the area of Seaside and Bridgeport avenues, police said.

He is charged with DUI and traveling unreasonably fast. He was released on a $500 bond and is due to appear in Superior Court, Milford on July 13.
