Stratford Man In Critical Condition After SUV Hits Brick Wall
The Chevy Trailblazer crashed through the side of a Bridgeport store.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Stratford man is in critical condition after the SUV in which he was a passenger crashed through the wall of a Bridgeport store, according to police. Officers responded to the scene at 10:38 p.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of Main Street, police stated in a Facebook post. Fire department personnel extricated the driver and passenger.
A man from Seymour was speeding south on Main Street when he lost control of the 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and crossed into the northbound lane, before hitting the side of a nearby store and crashing through the wall, according to police. The business, Tony's Smoke Shop Outlet, was closed when the incident occurred.
The driver and passenger, both 23, were taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, stated police, who added that the driver's injuries are not life threatening.
