Stratford Man Pleads Guilty To Killing His Mother: Report

A relative told police the victim had feared her son so much she slept with a knife under her pillow.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man faces 30 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday to killing his mother in 2020, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Thomas Walker, 38, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 6.

Walker was charged with murder after he went to the Stratford police station 5:30 a.m. Sept. 18, 2020, to report a body. Officers found his mother, Pamela Walker, dead and covered with stab wounds in her Baird Court home, police said at the time.

A relative told police Pamela Walker had feared her son so much she slept with a knife under her pillow.

Thomas Walker has an extensive criminal history, including convictions for selling narcotics, carrying a dangerous weapon, and, on multiple occasions, assault, according to court personnel. He was on probation for assaulting a family member at the time Pamela Walker was stabbed, court officials said.

Thomas Walker also has a history of mental health issues, including a psychiatric episode in April 2020, police said at the time.
