Stratford Man Pleads Guilty To Starting Fire At Dog Memorial

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man pleaded guilty Monday to lighting two cars on fire after showing up drunk to a dog memorial, according to the Connecticut Post. The incident occurred in May 2016 at a home in Bridgeport, where Alexis Torres, 35, came to the memorial of the homeowner's family dog inebriated, was ordered to leave and set two cars outside the home ablaze, the Connecticut Post reports. Torres pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree arson, according to the Connecticut Post, and faces four years in prison when he is sentenced in September.
