Stratford Man Sexually Assaulted Co-Worker At Deli: Fairfield PD

The man is accused of harassing, sexually assaulting and exposing himself to a teenage co-worker at a deli in Fairfield, according to police

FAIRFIELD, CT — A Stratford man is accused of harassing, sexually assaulting and exposing himself to a teenage co-worker in Fairfield, according to police. Konstantinos Avramidis, 45, was arrested Jan. 4 after he turned himself in on outstanding warrants, police said.

Police said Avramidis was the subject of an ongoing investigation after he allegedly made unwanted sexual contact with a 16-year-old female at work. Avramidis also sent unwanted sexual photographs of himself via text messaging to the same juvenile, according to police.

The Connecticut Post reports the incidents occurred at a deli in Fairfield. Avramidis, who was fired from the deli after the owner learned of the allegations, allegedly admitted to touching the girl and "flashing his peeper" at her, but told police that he thought she liked it, according to the Post.

Avramidis was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, two counts of public indecency, two counts of second-degree harassment and one count of second-degree breach of peace. He was held on a $60,000 bond and arraigned in Bridgeport Superior Court on Jan. 7, according to police.
