Stratford To Play Special ‘Light Blue’ Charity Baseball Game May 7
Broadcaster & sports radio personality Ed Randall will be at the game, which raises funds, awareness for his FANS For The CURE foundation

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford High School baseball team will host Notre Dame-Fairfield in a non-league game at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at Penders Field.
The game marks the second time the two teams will play a special “Light Blue” charity game for longtime sports radio personality and current Sirius/XM MLB radio host Ed Randall’s FANS FOR THE CURE foundation.
Randall, a prostate cancer survivor, has long dedicated himself to the important task of raising prostate cancer awareness by way of traveling all over the country and visiting countless baseball ballparks and stadiums. His FANS FOR THE CURE is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to positively influencing the lives of men by organizing medical, educational, and support programs focused prostate cancer.

Stratford will play the game wearing special “Light Blue” jerseys, while the visiting Lancers of Notre Dame will support the cause and theme by donning “Light Blue” sleeves underneath their road jerseys.
Randall has announced that he will be at the game not only to watch the action but also to raise prostate cancer awareness with those there. Randall is also all set to put on his own “Light Blue” jersey with his favorite No. 13 on the back.

There will be no admission charge to the game. However, a FANS FOR THE CURE donation bucket will be out near the main gate and fans and friends and families attending are kindly asked to make or drop in donations to Randall’s cause.
