It was an unlucky day for a Naugatuck man who crashed into a parked car while attempting to flee from police and was arrested on possession of heroin with the intent to sell charges.

Stratford police arrested Jonathan Lucky, 28, following a narcotics investigation into alleged sales of heroin.

During the investigation, investigators from Stratford Police Department along with those from the Statewide Narcotics Task Force observed Lucky as he pulled into the parking lot of a Walgreens in Bridgeport, according to Stratford police spokesperson Lt. Frank Eannotti.

Eannotti said the information developed in the case led investigators to believe that Lucky would be there to conduct a drug transaction.

Officers approached Lucky as he sat in his 2010 Jeep Cherokee and as they made contact with him, Lucky attempted to flee and struck a parked vehicle. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
