The former manager, Stephen Rossi, is the son of West Haven Mayor Nancy Rossi.
STRATFORD, CT — The son of the mayor of West Haven, who was accused of embezzling over $80,000 from restaurants in Stratford and Trumbull, received special probation Thursday, according to the Connecticut Post. Stephen Rossi, the son of Mayor Nancy Rossi, has agreed to pay back the money he reportedly stole while working as a manager at the Sitting Duck restaurants in the two towns, the Post reported.
Rossi, 34, did not plead guilty and was given two years probation, according to the Post. If he does not commit any other crimes in that time the larceny and criminal impersonation charges against him will be dismissed, said the Post, which reported that a computer crime charge was already dropped as part of the proceedings Thursday.
