Stratford’s ‘Strange History’ Highlighted In Bus Tour
The town is hosting a series of bus tours that will showcase the many legends, myths and mysteries from the early days of Stratford to now.
STRATFORD, CT — (Contributed): This Halloween season, the Town of Stratford is hosting a series of bus tours highlighting Stratford’s unique past. “Strange Stratford” tours are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 31.
The tours will be narrated by volunteer storytellers and participants from the town’s two high schools and will showcase the many legends, myths and mysteries from the early days of Stratford to modern times.
Discussions range from witches and extra-terrestrials to pirates and sea serpents.

Each two-hour tour will depart from the Perry House located at 1128 West Broad Street. The tours will discuss more than 50 “Strange Stratford” narratives, making stops at storied locations such as the Stratford Light House, the Judson House, and Boothe Memorial Park.
Tours will conclude with refreshments at the Perry House.

Bus seating is limited to 50 people per tour. The cost per person is $16 (including PayPal surcharge). Advance registration and purchase is required. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Registered guests will receive a Stratford history map and additional information on the narrated stories. All proceeds will benefit the Perry House, the Stratford Historical Society and Friends of Boothe Park.
