Stratford Schools Announce Kindergarten Registration Dates

Parents interested in the dual language program lottery must attend a mandatory information session.

The Stratford Public Schools has set the dates for registration of kindergarten students for the 2020-2021 school year. Based on the name collection information received, kindergarten registration and appointment information is being emailed between February 5th through February 7th.Centralized registration will take place by appointment at Johnson House, 719Birdseye Street, from February 24th through March 20th. Children who will be five(5) years of age on or before January 1, 2021 are eligible to begin kindergarten this September.

The Stratford Public Schools offers full-day kindergarten program in every elementary school. If you are interested in having your kindergartner placed in the Dual Language Program lottery, it is mandatory you attend the Information Session on Tuesday, February 25th or Thursday, February 27th at 7:00 pm at Victoria Soto School. Snow dates are Wednesday, February 26th and Tuesday,March 3rd.

Students enrolled in Early Learning Services at Second Hill Lane, Franklin Preschool or Victoria Soto Preschool; are already enrolled in the Stratford Public Schools, therefore, a kindergarten registration appointment is not required.

Parents should call 203-386-3149 for information about kindergarten registration. Additional information about the registration process and programs is available on the Stratford Public School website, www.stratford k12.org.

Parents need to provide their child’s birth certificate, the health assessment record from the physician, and two (2) documents to prove legal residency. Only Completed applications will be accepted.
