BRIDGEPORT, CT — An 18-year-old Stratford resident has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Bridgeport last month, according to multiple reports.
The Connecticut Post reports Edwin Abrams turned himself in to Bridgeport police on Tuesday morning on a warrant in connection with the Aug. 28 homicide of Jamel Hayden. Abrams was charged with felony murder and criminal attempt at first-degree robbery, and was being held in lieu of a $3 million bond.
Investigators said Hayden was killed after he was shot in the back over what appeared to be a robbery over about $250 worth of marijuana, according to the Post. Abrams is the second person to be arrested in connection with the killing.
