Stratford Woman Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child: Report
The woman is accused of sexually assaulting and whipping an 8-year-old girl, according to police.
STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford woman is accused of sexually assaulting and whipping an 8-year-old girl with a belt, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports Charita Gant, 32, was arrested Thursday after police investigated a complaint from the girl’s father saying that his 8-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted while she was staying at Gant’s home while he was making arrangements to move out of state. Gant, who initially told police that she wasn’t home even though she answered the door when they came to question her, has denied the accusations, according to the Post.
