Streaming Music Service from the Stratford Library, Just in Time for the Holidays

The Stratford Library, one of the thousands of libraries worldwide that subscribe to the Freegal Music Service, is now offering patrons the ability to stream music online every day as part of their free online music offerings. You can stream entire albums or use “Freegal Playlists” of pre-selected songs in a genre that you are sure to enjoy, including holiday music, or create playlists of your own.

28,000 music labels from around the world participate in the Freegal Music Service including the complete local catalogue of Sony Music Entertainment. This new initiative, part of Freegal 4.0, will allow patrons of the Library increased access to over 6 million songs from 85 different countries.

Under the terms of the agreement, registered card holders of the Stratford Library can download 3 Freegal Music tracks in a MP3 format each week, and stream 3 hours of music each day at no cost via http://stratford.freegalmusic.com.  Freegal also has over 15,000 popular music videos for download in the MP4 format.

There are free mobile Freegal Music Service apps for registered cardholders of subscribing libraries.  The apps are available in the Apple® App Store and Google Play®.
