Teens In Stolen Vehicle Caught Burglarizing Vehicles: Stratford Police
Two 15-year-olds were seen walking around, wearing all black clothing and ski masks, during the overnight hours on Tuesday, police said.
STRATFORD, CT — Two 15-year-old Stratford residents were arrested early Tuesday morning after police said they were caught burglarizing vehicles and were in the possession of a stolen vehicle.
Police responded to the area of Highland Avenue and Wainwright Place around 3:40 a.m. on the report of two males walking around wearing all black clothing and ski masks, according to Lt. Robert Burroughs.
Burroughs said officers found two males that fit the suspects’ description. Also at the scene, officers found a vehicle that had the window smashed out along with damage to the ignition, according to Burroughs.

Both suspects were positively identified as 15-year-old Stratford residents. One of the juveniles was recently involved with, and arrested in connection with similar crimes in Westport, according to Burroughs.
Burroughs said the juveniles were in the possession of one knife, three screwdrivers, three bank cards that didn’t belong to them, three cables that are most commonly used to steal Kia and Hyundai vehicles, black latex gloves, a plastic bag with spare change inside of it, a small plastic bag containing suspected marijuana and orange utility gloves.

Both juveniles were arrested and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, two counts of third-degree burglary, and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief.
