Two 14-Year-Olds Accused of Painting Swastikas In Stratford

Both teens are facing hate crime charges.

Stratford police have charged two 14-year-olds for painting swastikas on a vacant house, tree, and public signs in town, especially along Wilcoxson Avenue and adjacent streets, NBC Connecticut reports.

The teens have been charged with criminal mischief, breach of peace, and potentially hate crime charges, NBC reports.

Last month the Connecticut Post reported someone spraypainted a Swastika along with the letters “SS, which is an abbreviation of the Nazi Party’s army and letters “WP” White Power on traffic signs and parts of a home along Wilcoxson Avenue and Charlton Street, the Connecticut Post reports.

The Post interviewed neighbors who are alarmed by the graffiti and the Police Department is aware of it, the Post reports.
