Two Stratford Businesses Fined for Selling Tobacco to Minors
Police conducted an unannounced compliance check on Wednesday.

Two Stratford businesses were found to be in violation of the state’s laws regarding the sale of cigarattes to minors.
Stratford police conducted an unannounced inspection on Wednesday and EZ Mart, 3355 Main Street, and S & R Sales LLC, 3634 Main Street, sold tobacco products to an underage youth who was working under the direction and supervision of state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services investigators.
Police said the offending clerks were issued infractions of $200. The Cigarette Dealer license holder at each establishment also faces additional administrative sanctions from the Department of Services, according to police.

Overall, police conducted 13 unannounced inspections and noted that the following businesses were in compliance:
