UPDATE: Stratford Mom Out Of Medically Induced Coma
The mother had been in critical condition following an emergency C-section and a GoFundMe account has been launched in support of the family

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford mother who was listed in critical condition after undergoing an emergency C-section is out of her medically induced coma.
The GoFundMe page, which was launched in support of the family, provided an update on Thursday that Brittany, the mother, is no longer in an induced coma although she is still heavily sedated.
“It's possible that she will be weaned off the ventilator in the next 5-6 days,” according to the page, which was created by Meghan Esteva. “She will then be breathing on her own. Hopefully after that she will be moved to a step down unit to recover and then rehab to get her lungs stronger.”

The baby, Luke, is “doing really well. He is breathing room air and being bottle fed! He weighs 3lbs 9oz,” according to the page.
Luke was born on March 12 and Brittany was diagnosed with double pneumonia at the time and was placed on a ventilator and put into a medically induced coma.
Nearly $14,800 has been raised by 230 people (as of Thursday afternoon) in support of the family.
