The Watermark at 3030 Park Hosts "Circle of Love" Bereavement Support Group

On Monday, June 29th, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host “Circle of Love,” a bereavement support group for people coping with the loss of a loved one. The group will meet at 2:00 p.m. at the retirement community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.

The meeting will be led by Reverend Dr. Rosundé Cummings Nichols, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry, who serves as a Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Counselor. The group is designed to provide an outlet for people dealing with the loss of a loved one, where they can share their thoughts and feelings in a compassionate and respectful setting. The meeting will also include helpful strategies for coping with loss in everyday life.

“Grieving the loss of a loved one is difficult to endure on your own,” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “We are extremely grateful to Rosundé for offering to provide our residents, and members of the community, with a confidential and supportive group setting to discuss their challenges. We hope that people will take advantage of this opportunity and join others in a path of healing.”

Nichols has been a chaplain since 2007 and has worked with several health organizations including Greenwich Hospital. She received a Master of Divinity at the United Theological Seminary (UTS) in Dayton, Ohio, as well as a Doctor of Ministry Degree from UTS. Nichols currently serves as a bereavement counselor and is a certified Reiki practitioner.
