The Watermark at 3030 Park Hosts Parkinson's Support Group and Fitness Class

Caregivers and those living with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or dementia invited to attend

On Thursday, March 12, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host its monthly Parkinson’s Support Group. The meeting is open to anyone living with or caring for someone with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of memory loss. The group will meet at 10:30 a.m. at the senior living community located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.

This month’s support group will be led by Bill Bodin, an account manager specializing in neurological movement disorders from Lundbeck Pharmaceuticals. He will focus his discussion on the symptoms of orthostatic hypotension, a form of low blood pressure that causes dizziness when standing up after a sustained period of rest. Bodin will also discuss treatment options available to individuals living with neurological disorders.

“The Watermark is committed to being a thought-leader in the field of movement disorders and memory care,” said Connie Haworth, Executive Director at The Watermark at 3030 Park. “Our monthly Parkinson’s Support Group meetings support this mission by connecting caregivers and their loved ones with the information and resources they need to live more comfortable, satisfying lives.”
