The Watermark at 3030 Park Invites Public to Senior Caregiver Support Group

Bi-monthly support group designed for individuals who care for an elderly parent or loved one

On Wednesday, April 1, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host its bi-monthly support group designed for individuals who care for an elderly parent or loved one. The group will meet at 3:00 p.m. at the senior living community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.

Support group meetings will be held every other Wednesday and will discuss a variety of topics, including best practices for coping with caregiver stress, financial planning and legal rights, creating an appropriate emergency plan, warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease and basic information about Hospice care.

“It’s never easy to watch a parent or loved one grow older, and for caregivers, it can be an extremely stressful situation,” said Connie Haworth, Executive Director at The Watermark. “Our support group provides a safe and comfortable place for people to share their experiences and to learn more about improving the quality of life for their loved one, and themselves.”
