Woman With Warrant In Stratford Charged In Orange: Police

The accused was released after posting two bonds, police say.

ORANGE, CT — A Bridgeport woman, who was wanted on an arrest warrant out of Stratford, is accused of possessing a controlled substance in a vehicle, Orange Police say.

On Feb. 28, officers performing a motor vehicle stop on the Boston Post Road came into contact with Natalie Batista, 24, of Bridgeport, police said. It was discovered that she was in possession of an illegal controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Subsequently, she was taken into custody and charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, police said. While being processed, officers discovered that she also had an active warrant out of the Town of Stratford for Failure to Appear 2nd degree, police said. She was charged for same.

She posted two $500 bonds and was released.
