• Inmate stabbed during brawl at Connecticut correctional facility (courant.com) — An inmate was stabbed during a fight Thursday evening inside the MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Suffield, but has since been treated at a hospital and returned to the prison. Officials say five inmates were involved in the recreation-area brawl, no staff were hurt, the unit was secured, and state police are investigating the cause.    

• Cities with the fastest-growing home prices in Connecticut (primepublishers.com) — Home values in Suffield have climbed to about $491,000, up more than $28,000 in the past year, placing the town among Connecticut’s faster-growing markets. A new statewide ranking shows how Suffield compares with 49 other communities as buyers still compete for limited inventory.
