UPDATE: Flood Warning in Effect

A flood warning is in effect until 10:30 p.m. for the area from Simsbury to Suffield, where 2-4 inches of rain fell Tuesday.

A brief yet torrential storm through north central Connecticut left more than 1,000 Eversource Energy customers without power Tuesday afternoon.

At 5 p.m. Tuesday, the company’s outage map showed 93 Suffield customers had lost power.

In surrounding towns, 338 customers in East Granby, 310 in Granby and 201 in Simsbury also were without electricity, the outage map showed.
