In early May of 2005 Captain Tom Tighe of the sailboat Almeisan embarked on a five day voyage, with three new crew members, from Connecticut to Bermuda. Four days into their voyage they were struck by a massive storm, and the Captain and first mate were swept off the vessel during a knockdown and carried away by huge seas. The presentation follows the desperate struggles of the crew and the Captain and first mate to survive. Tougias will use pictures of the storm, the sailboat, the crew and rescue mission to bring this story to life.
