Frechette, Begley Join the Board of The First National Bank of Suffield

Nancy Viggiano, President and Chief Executive Officer of The First National Bank of Suffield, has announced the appointment of two new members, Janet Frechette and Brendan Begley, to the Bank’s board of directors.

“I am so pleased to welcome these new members to our board,” said Ms. Viggiano. “Ms. Frechette brings a rich background in public and community service, while Mr. Begley brings a passion for the joys and challenges of running a business. Their wisdom and experience will be great assets as the board guides the Bank to continued prosperity.”

Ms. Frechette is the executive director of the Suffield Emergency Aid Association, a private nonprofit social service agency. She is the organization’s first executive director and has served in that role since 1999. Previously, she was a geriatric outreach case manager at the Town of Windsor. Ms. Frechette received her master’s degree in social work administration from the University of Connecticut. She and her husband, Michael, reside in West Suffield, where they raised their four daughters. Ms. Frechette joined the board in July.

Mr. Begley is the owner and manager of Begley & Associates, LLC, an Enfield accounting firm. He graduated from the University of Alabama and earned a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Hartford. Mr. Begley has been a practicing public accountant since 1986, concentrating on corporate and individual tax planning and small business consulting. A native of Hartford and a resident of Suffield since 1987, he and his wife, Linda, have three children. Mr. Begley’s term on the board began in August.
