Police Union Wants Independent Review of Complaints Suffield Dispatcher Came to Work Drunk
And town officials want a ruling on whether an outside investigation is needed, according to a report.

The Suffield Police Union is seeking an independent review of officers’ complaints that a police dispatcher came to work drunk on two occasions, according to the union’s lawyer.
The attorney wants an investigation into how the incident with the dispatcher was handled and if any police officers who reported the incidents — that occurred in October and late August — were asked to change their stories, according to WFSB which broke the original story.
In a statement, the union lawyer told WFSB, “Why anyone would seek to stymie that investigation is troubling to say the least. The union will reserve judgment; it encourages others to do so as well. However, an independent inquiry is necessary and time is of the essence.”
