Read to a Dog, Writer's Workshop, Gingerbread House Decorating -- It's All Happening at the Kent Memorial Library

If you're planning activities for your children in Suffield, here are some fun library programs.

From play groups and book groups to gingerbread decorating, there’s plenty going on at the Kent Memorial Library that’s now at their temporary facility at 61 Ffyler Pl. while renovations at its permanent home continue.

Here’s what’s coming up:

  • World Book Group: Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
  • Play Group: Friday, Nov. 21 – 10 a.m. to Noon
  • Read to a Dog: Saturday, Nov. 22 – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
  • Socrates Club: Monday, Nov. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Writer’s Workshop: Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.

And on Monday, Nov. 24, registration opens for the Decorate a Gingerbread House program for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Icing will be provided for children to decorate already-assembled gingerbread houses at Second Baptist Church, 100 North Main St. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 10:30 a.m. Frosting and candy will be provided. This program is funded by Friends of Kent Memorial Library.
