CONNECTICUT — While the state may not rank highly when it comes to taxes or running a business, Connecticut does rank well in terms of public education and safety. The state is also strong when it comes to raising a family, ranking ninth in a recent study by WalletHub.
According to WalletHub: "To determine the best states in which to put down family roots, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 50 key indicators of family-friendliness. The data set ranges from median family salary to housing affordability to unemployment rate."
Connecticut does particularly well with its crime rate as well as its low infant mortality rate. Here are some details from the report.

- 29th – Housing Affordability
- 21st – Separation & Divorce Rate
WalletHub combined factors to come up with the following categories: Family Fun, Health & Safety, Education & Child Care, Affordability, and Socio-economics. Connecticut ranked 26th for fun, ninth for safety, second in education, fifth in affordability, and tenth for socio-economics.
