Nicholas "Nick" J. Padrevita, 68, of Enfield, widower of Naida (Torres) Padrevita, passed away peacefully on Sept. 9, 2017 at his home. Nick was born Jan. 13, 1949 in Springfield, MA, son of the late Nicholas J. and Genevieve (Kowiek) Padrevita and a lifetime resident of the Enfield community. He was employed by the Town of Suffield as a water waste operator for 17 years retiring in 2011. Nick served his country honorably in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the John Maciolek Post # 154 American Legion. He was longtime friend of Bill W. and in his younger years was an avid health enthusiast. Nick is survived by his two children Nicholas J. III and Erica Padrevita, a brother, Patrick Padrevita and three grandchildren. Funeral services for Nick will be held Friday Sept. 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield followed by interment in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery will military honors. Visiting hours for Nick will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm before the service.
